Welcome
Thank you for visiting Anya's website. As many of you know, Anya has been through
an awful lot since the day she was born. She has had countless procedures and tests, two surgeries
and has suffered brief respiratory and cardiac arrest requiring chest compressions and intubation. Although it is still
uncertain, it is believed Anya may have Mitochondrial disease or perhaps some other metabolic disorder. We are trying desperately to
get a diagnosis and doing what we can to help her through this. Fortunately, she's a fighter...
We developed this site not only to help keep friends and family informed on the latest news but
more importantly to help get Anya's story out, hoping someone who has experienced a similar situation may be
able to help. We also hope Anya's story may help other families find answers to their child's issues.
We have been amazed with and thankful for the number of responses we've received so far from the caring community
of other families in our situation.
